Electric Vacuum Pump for Power Brakes

I'm not sure exactly where to post this, so let's start here. On my '68 Riv that I converted over to disk brakes using the Scarebird caliper brackets, I've also got the automatic air conditioning system, which is basically complete and should be operable, plus a 464 with the TA 413 cam. I think the cam will allow for about 10 inches of vacuum, which is probably marginal for the brakes, but probably not near enough for the automatic A/C, which needs to see around 16 inches of vacuum. Soooo...I was thinking about installing a Master Power vacuum pump (or an SSBC pump, but everyone says they're noisy as hell) to pull vacuum for the huge reservoir the Rivs have under the left front fender at the rear, mounted to the firewall. Then I was hoping to source vacuum for the brake booster out of the reservoir, as well as the vacuum for the A/C and headlight vacuum diaphrams.

However, the instructions for the vacuum pump (I got them off the internet) say hook the pump directly to the brake booster. So, the question is, does anyone see a problem hooking the pump to the vacuum reservoir??? I don't really see any problems, but I've never messed around with these things so don't know. Thanks for any input or ideas!
