Early Big Car Rally Wheel Question?

I have a 64 LaSabre and the early cars have a larger wheel center hub on them. So, what year rally wheels will fit the earlier big hub Buicks? 64 only or will some of the later ones work? I don't care about it being year correct, I'd just like to run the factory rallies on it.
    Thanks

The big cars have a locating ring in the center of the hub area on the back. That can be removed from the wheel and will allow the wheel to seat against the drum.
The first big car wheels were a little different than the second. I remember having a set that I put on my car trailer. Went to install the tires and new valve stems. The hole for the valve stem was a little large for the standard size valve stem.

The later wheels #895 that are for 71 and up cars will bolt up BUT : the center cap will not fit the wheel . NOT because of the 1/8 difference in the center hole because you can " tweek " the prongs on the center cap to allow them to fit . The difference is the DUST CAP on the older cars that is flat topped and not rounded top like the 71 up dust cap for disc brakes .

However you can cut the rounded dust cap top off and braze it on the older drum brake dust cap . I've done it to my 69 Electra so I know it works .

Correct wheels should be # 802 and the later 66 to 70 wheels # 853 will work as will the #895 wheels if you modify the dust cap .

As mentioned the locating / centering rings on the #853 wheels can be removed but if you are staying with the original brake drums I don't think its necessary .
