Per a request from Chris Lott on another thread, here's Duane's X-Camino converted into a jpeg from the AutoCad that Duane originally drew it up on. I never posted a pic before, so hope this works! (original design, plus four enlarged shots)

WOW, awesome drawings. I really like both of them, I think maybe Duane needs to build the sport camino to go along with the Xcamino. That would be too cool... not one but two buick camino's running around out there. Wouldn't that throw people for a loop. Thanks for posting the pictures Cole.

and finally, shot # 5......I couldn't save the shots any larger, but when I enlarged them on my system, you could read every letter and see every detail of even those polyglas gt's! Very cool!

Thanks Cole I appreciate you doing this.
The drawings look pretty good here, the only thing that didn't come across was the hatch pattern for the stripes. When I was drawing the tires I sat an original tire next to my computer to use as a model. You should have seen my wife Beth's face when she came upstairs and saw that.

    Chris,
I am planning to do another El-Camino project in the future, but it will be a 71 Stratomist Blue Stage 1 Automatic X-Camino with Pearl white Buckets and a console. The "Sport" version only has single exhaust, no rear swaybar, and a chrome outside mirror. I think the other would be more exciting. I might build the car without the drivetrain and put it up for sale. That way whoever buys it can put in what they want. I feel my car needs a brother but could not afford to keep a second one. Maybe we could have a "Family" reunion at the Nationals each year.

    Chris,
I plotted out 2 copies; 1 at 1:24th scale and 1 at 1:18th scale. Hope you like them.

Awesome Duane! I'm an avid model builder, maybe one will inspire me to build a 1:24 scale version of the car. Chances are though, I'll start it and never get around to finishing it (I have about 200 model kits total, about 20 of them started and only 5 built). Thanks again, I really appreciate it!

    Chris,
I built a 1:18 Scale model of my X-Camino by combining an ERTL 70 GSX and a 70 El-Camino model. I had it on display at my "Party" and I think Rick Martinez took some pictures of it. Yardley may have some shots also.
