Im looking for thoughts on converting to a one piece driveshaft.
Ideas as far as frome modifications to size and dimention. Clearing the tunnel in the frame etc.
I'd rather deal with 2 u joints then 5, cv joints and center bearings etc.
This would be the week link if I put a worked 455 in the riv.
I spoke to i guy at a show who had done this with a 58 imp with a similar x frame.

You need to consider the length of the driveshaft and as you stated, clearence to the tunnel in the frame. I don't think a two piece would be weaker other than more stuff to break.

About a year ago I talked to a guy with a late `60's Riv who runs 12. XX in the quarter and was planning on putting it into the 11's. He either did or was going to modify the frame. He planned on cutting out the entire tunnel and connecting the frame behind the front wheel to in front of the rear wheel so he would end up with a perimiter frame set up. I also think he is using a DANA 60 rear.
