With Steve Caruso’s permission, I reproduced a few of his bolt in driveshaft safety loops for the 70–72 Skylark/GS/GSX. These are bolted in using the 2 trans mount bolts in a factory crossmember. No drilling or modifications to the car are required. These were professionally fabricated right here in Texas using 1/4” steel, then professionally powder coated. Just like everything else these days, it cost more to have these made than it did years ago when Steve made his run. I had 6 of each made, and just trying to break even on the cost. I currently 2 two of each left. $225 each plush shipping. Free delivery to BG in May if paid in advance. The short one is for a TH400, and the long one is for a Muncie 4 speed.
Last set of pics showing them at the fab shop and after powder coating. They are beautifully done, and will not disappoint.
I’m pretty sure these are specific for a TH400 and a 4 speed. I don’t think these will work with a 2004R. Estimated shipping to 44875 will be $20.
I have two 4 speed loops and one TH400 loop left. Free delivery to BG next week. Gary - yours are both in my trailer. See you soon!
Shipping is about $22 from Texas. if you know anybody going to Bowling Green next week, I’ll be happy to send it back with them.
[QUOTE="1972 Stage 1, post: 3402297, member: comment on a for sale ad…[/QUOTE] Bought one at the Nats last year and it fit my ‘70 T400 with X pipe fine after very slight trimming off the corners of the loop.
