I just purchased a radio delete plate from Korrie and the piece was as good or better than described and I received the part even before payment went into the mail system! I'd definitely work with Korrie again. Thanks Korrie!

Yup, same experience here, I wanted a a pair of those corner interior back window moldings and we struck a deal. The day my payment went in the mail the part showed up, didn't expect that :TU:

Korrie, did you change your name from Dijkstra to Dykstra when you (or your parents) moved to Canada ?

I also noticed that a lot of Dutch people with "van" names (as in "van Dalen" or "van der Bilt") changed their names into Vandalen or Vanderbilt when they moved to countries like North America, South Africa or Australia.

That was mostly an immigration thing. Names were written down on forms as they "sounded" to officials. Also the language barrier did not help. Keep in mind there were a lot of folks coming in at once so there was little time to process people.

I was only 3 yrs old at the time so I was just happy to get off that "cattle boat." Different times back then, my folks had to be sponsored by a family already here. For two years, so we did not become a burden financially to the Gov't.

They should use that nowadays for immigrants, but that's just my opinion.

    Hi Pat

Yeah I would guess that was 20 years ago, give or take. Had the Stratomist car there.
Was quite the night in the Hotel Parking lot indeed. After X amount of Beer and such there was quite the ruckus. You look back now and wonder about stuff like that. But in the end, they are all good memories. Wouldn't trade them for the world.
