Does this mean my car has a posi rear?

Hey guys, a while ago I was driving backing my 62 Invicta
up the driveway and gave her a little gas. She did a bit of a burnout and left marks on the driveway with both tires. I
have heard that doing a burnout like I did in reverse does
not prove a thing and has to be done going forward to be acurete. Can somebody please shed some light on the
subject? talk to you all later.

Jack the rear wheels up and turn one of the wheels. If both wheels go the same direction, then you have a posi rear. If they move opposite, then you have a pegleg.

MyLeSabre would rip both tires if it was a very dirty blacktop lot. But it was a weak little pegleg 350 car.

    Smartin is right,

My old cutlass had a open rear, but would still fry them both with the help of the 455.

Although I think that when you jack it up the wheels won't turn at all with a Posi unless the trans is in N.

If they turn opposite ways freely then its not a posi. (I have seen some Limetid slip rears that would turn if you put enough into trying)

Pull up to a ricer at a red light. Race him to the next light. If you beat him by 7 lengths or more - you've got posi. If you beat him by 5 lengths - you've got a pegleg.
