I found a mid 60's dodge truck that has the chunk type rear and is a positive traction or whatever the dodge version is.Question is will this chunk interchange with the car rears? hate to see it go to the crusher for scrap value.thanks
Yes, If it pulls out the front like a Ferd 9" it's an 8.75" and it'll swap out with any car 8.75" rear. Many trucks from the 60's early 70's had these. I have pulled more than a few 3.91 Sure Grips outa Leanin' Six trucks. If it's a sure grip it's easily worth $300.00 and mabey a bit more. They may also be 3.55's which are equally as desirable. If it's an open 3.23 leave it alone. Not much value. An open diff 3.55 or 3.91 may be worth $100.00?
