Geuss what Grille fits a 69 practically perfectly with a few modifications?

A 1998 Dodge Ram truck grille or any dodge grille in the body style range!!! Try it. The honey cone looking shapes even look alot better then the bars, makes it look like more of an GSX grille. This is a new invention for people who dont have alot of money to buy a nice grille that would cost them well over $300, sooo go to the JUNK YARD get a dodge RAM grille and try it for yourself, Betcha it works

Tell me how it goes, will try to get a pic of how it work on a 69:beer

i would love to see how this looks. what do you have to do to modify the ram grill to fit?

  5. practically perfectly with a few modifications???

I tried fitting a Ram grille up to my 68 skylark over the weekend.... I guess a few modifications means cutting about 6 inches out of the middle of the grille, mitering the cut edges to make the proper angle for a buick, gluing the two halves back together, somehow concealing the seam in the chrome, then cutting about 3-4 inches off the bottom to get the proper height. After all that's done you would still have to find a way to mount it (fabricating some little L-brackets might work). I could probably make a grille from a 78 Pinto fit my car too, if I wanted to spend about ten hours at it.
This is just my opinion, but I wouldn't rush out to the junkyard just yet. If anyone doesn't believe me and wants the measurements just ask me, I've got the Ram grille in my garage.
