    Hi all,

My brother is a Chevy guy, mostly '67 Impalas'. I'm looking for some help to validate/determine/document a '67 Impala SS? 427 convertible, 4-speed car that he owns. The numbers on the trim tag are a little non-standard and no build sheet or protect-o-plate exists for the car. If anyone may be able to help please pm me or email me @ hackneyh@austin.rr.com and I can provide additional information :beer

    Thanks,
    Harry

Go to this site, http://www.impalass427.com/ . There will be some info there, and there's someone there that will decode your trim tags.
    Go to the message board.

The impala site listed above is great. I used to have a 67 SS Impala and was actually looking for a '67 SS427 but couldn't find one after looking for a year. That's how I ended up with my Buick. Then, of course, three months after getting the Buick I came across three in various stages of nice. Oh well, I still like my Buick.

Paul Vitale is a walking dictionary on these cars, I'll round him up and send him in.

Of course, his car is too precious to race.......

I had a '68 SS427 Impala for about 10 years... if you look under the SS427 forum, and find the black/black '68 with hideaway's, that was mine. I deeply regret selling that car, but I made the buyer sign a lifetime legal contract that he could only sell it back to me, and no-one else.

Hi SamboraRocks, I should be able to help you as I have all the ID books and have restored and owned a 67 Impala SS since 1985 which. I guess for starters I need to know are you trying to ID? A 67 Impala SS and a SS427 are similar but different animals. I have sent you an email to the above mentioned address you can also respond to Netmindr36@aol.com. Let me know.

    Thanks
    Paul
