I'm just buttoning up My 67' 340 4bbl project ive been workinng on for a couple years, Im about to dorp the engine back in after a full restore and decided to change to an HEI distributor, but i dont know much about them, what should i get. will most distributors for small blocks around the same year work? has anybody had good results with any particular models? any knowledge would be apprectiated, thanks
You need one from a Buick 350. I have one for $30 + ship. Email me directly at GStage1@buickperformance.com with your zip so I can give you a total. You will need to purchase a new cap, rotor and coil. I never take those from salvage cars due to age. You will need to run a +12V wire from the fuse box marked "ign" to the +12V terminal on the HEI.
