Ok guys my look for the wagon is over. I wanted one for 2years and have got springs, iterior ,paint, wheels, new motor, new trans, set up for this car and I need to stop the thing. It has aluminum drums on it now ands Have had to tow my 66 lark with it once before. pulling it not the problem STOPPING is. It will lock them up but doesnt stop like I want it to. and after a few hard stops with this thing i can feel the shoes arent up to the task. I want a set of disc for the front and If i can get them for the rear great. Were can I get them you guys? If the aftermarket guy has them then tell me how? If I have to buy a car to pull them off of just tell me the model and its done. This is the only thing that bothers my old lady with buying this car.

It took me a long time to sell here on this and ITs the one thing I thought she would have fogotten or not even know Quote: "It better have the right kind of brakes on it like your race car or it GOES"

You Guys have got to help me out
    Thanks Doug

Have an article on our site below for rear discs.
As for fronts, I believe all 68-76 full size should work.
Check the Hollanader's interchange manual to confirm.

    Doug,
Just curious if you found anything out. I have a 70 LeSabre which I'd like to put discs on (or just straight convert to Vette brakes if I can't find an easier way) and I've heard that if you want discs on the 70 full sized cars, that you have to get them off of other 70 full sized cars. Supposedly 71 and up are completely different (or so I've been told) and 69 brakes are of a bad design or some such thing. If you wouldn't mind, let me know what you found out.
    Thanks!

I just removed a complete set-up from a 69 Catalina, they looked almost the same as the A-body versions. I would say those are fine.

I think your best bet would be to use the 69-70 front discs first since the fronts do 70% of the braking. If you still have problems stopping, contact www.tsmmfg.com and see if he offers a kit for the rear discs. Skip is very knowledgeable and will be able to suggest a solution if he/TSM doesn't have a kit for you.

I hva e few lookers at pick and pull yards around the country but havent hured back on any of them. I cant find anyone to let me look at there interchange book. so i will let you know if I find any thing.

The 69 sounds like it might work but it should be bigger then the a body stuff
