...The guy in the Parking Lot (of whatever store, say 7/11) who comes over hearing your motor and asks

    "Whats in that, a 3/4 cam ???"

    My answer the other nite.....

"No !! I got a Whole one !! Didn't even cost me that much more either...." :Dou:

Doo Wop Where were you in '62?

Was probably an older gent who inquired about the 3/4 cam. Back in the 60s (and probably earlier) places like J. C. Whitney advertised stock, street, 3/4 race or full race cams. Hence the term "3/4 cam".

    smart replies can be fun

I had my 77 corvette at wal.mart, didn't want to put the tops back on so my younger brother stayed in the car while I went in. On the way back to my car I see a guy talking to my brother, looks like he got very angry and stoms off into a Mrcedes and tares out of the parking lot. I asked my brother what the guys problem was, and wasn't to surprised by his reply. When the guy aksed "what year is it?" (regarding the vette), my brother replied "1998 what are you stupid" Sometimes you just got to do it!:Brow:

Well thats understandable considering Chevrolet didn't change the damn things for about a 20 year stretch in there.
