I just checked......... that was you! Coolness. I just won Street Stick out there Aug 20th in my Regal. While my times won't impress you, I'm pretty darn sure no one else ever did that in a Regal. By the way NOTNSS, one of the guys I sent packing went from Mr friendly to instant A$$. Tried to talk after I eliminated him and he wouldn't even look at me. He mumbled"thats why I hate ET racing". I thought to myself "why'ed you enter then?" Takes all kinds I guess.

    Dan,
Yes you saw my name there! I was #3 for a long time on that list, I've slowly been falling ever since. There are some wicked fast "street" cars at Quaker City!

Cant stand it anymore so i will voice my opinion. Of course you lost. If there was a bet you would be the one paying. You are not a ricer so dont try a flyby win. Your car is faster but that guy problably sandbagged on his other runs making you more confident and then proceded to run his best time but he still won SMOKE him next time but bow out gracefully this time. Of course you're right, I lost .. was not a question really. If it had been a bet, I'd have made it 2 outta 3 from the git-go. He didn't sandbag; that was his best run but only by about a tenth, and my worst by .6. I'm used to running all day win or lose and was suckered and naive about how much it meant to him.

I still put him on the trailer. And I ain't sweatin' it at all. I won't line up with him again because he wouldn't line up against me.. if he would, he'd have done it that day. I won't give him the satisfaction of thinking I give a rat's butt.. everyone there knew which car is fastest and who the chicken is.

Don't get the idea my nose is out of joint about this. Just pointing out how cutthroat some folks can be. For me, it's fun, even in a loss... good stuff.

You guys aren't hearing me. Even if this guy would be willing, which he WILL NOT, I WILL NOT give him the satisfaction of stomping his guts out.

    Just my $.02:

It's more fun losing a good race to someone that's cool (i.e. most of the Buick people I have met in the last couple of years) than beating a jerk in a bad one.:moonu:

Go out and have fun, let this guy stew.:stmad:
He knows he got a bye.

We'd planned to have her challenge him when she got to low 13s Sunday but she got all kinda sideways on her third run and wouldn't let up.. all 4 were SMOKIN', took out a couple cones and ran the ricer in the next lane off the track. Whipping the car down the track, side to side.

Holy Smoke Gary.......ya but ya gotta figure, any gal who hauls water, cuts trees down, splits and stacks wood, rides a trail bike up the sides of mountains and then takes a rest.....would pull that off. Outstanding, Gutsy gal me thinks.

gary, you hit it right on the head when you said its fun even when you lose. in all my years drag racing one thing ive learned is you cant win every race and you wont lose every race. the main thing is to have fun, enjoy yourself and hope no one gets hurt. enjoy your car. at great lakes dragaway labor day weekend some poor guy flipped his car and was killed. that really puts things in perspective.
