  2. In and effort to reduce the spam on the site, several years ago I had went to a program where I manually approve each and every new registration. This approval gives you full access to the site, to pictures, and to post, among other things. To be able to enjoy the full potential of the board for you, you need to be fully registered.. and that's easy.. Just send an email to me at jim@trishieldperformance.com and I will verify your registration. This policy will remain in effect indefinitely, as it has completely eliminated the bad actors from our site, who would spam and hack it, once they gained access. Thanks JW

Dates for Midwest Buick Challenge, 2010

Discussion in 'Midwest Buick Challenge' started by GS Shari, Feb 3, 2010.

This year we're back to August 20-22, 2010. We're always at the mercy of the Notre Dame football schedule and the Pro-Stock Race in Michigan.

    Mark your calendars!

For you guys who go really fast, I have been told Osceola dragstrip is no longer IHRA. They switched to NHRA

And to add insult to injury, Due to the NHRA sanctioning, the track is forced to be run 1/8th mile due to not having concrete retaining wall's(gaurd rails).

I have heard that many of the local racers(regulars) will be contacting the owner of the track to express their feelings, and to inform her that they will not be racing there this year, they will be racing Martin US131 in Michigan.

I hope for the sake of the track's well being, that Ruth will reconsider this move, and keep the track IHRA.
If she doesn't switch back, I see this as the final year for this historic Drag Strip. The loss of income from the regulars will force the closing of this track, IMHO.

I was wrong in my above post, still running 1/4 mi.

Hope to see you there this weekend.
I think we are for sure going to try to make the drive in Friday night, and if I get a couple quirks fixed with the car, I may make a couple passes Saturday.
