We are now proud owners of an 84 T-type hot air Regal and need some help getting some things together.

Looking for Horn repair pieces on the steering wheel. The big outer ring is broken and need the internal parts to make it work.

Also, almost everything on the dash doesn't work.
Speedometer doesn't work and it is cable driven.
    Fuel Gauge doesn't register
Boost gauge stays at a constant
Tachometer stays at redline, and not because our foot is in it.

Could all of these problems be related? or all individual problems?

Any advice or thoughts on where to start would be appreciated.

You have multiple issues. First off the boost gage/tach strip rarely worked properly when new so I'm not surprised yours is going crazy. (had an 85 GN that showed 5 lbs boost in park!) Caspers Electronics has the repair parts for it, but unless you're an electronics wizard you may want to send in your strip for them to repair.

Speedo cable is easy to check: disconnect at the trans end, attach a drill to the cable and turn it (slow speed on the drill). If the needle moves and registers it's a cable issue, if it doesn't-cluster problem. If you wind up needing a cluster I can shoot you some names.

FUel gage: unplug and ground out the leads to the sending unit and see what the gage needle does. Would not be surprised if you have a sending unit problem.

Horn pieces: Kirban Performance has the reproduction outer horn ring, and it sounds like you will need the turn signal cam as well (doubles as the horn contact ring)

Thanks for the help. That is my weekend project. Plus rebuilding the turbo.

Ok, the gas gauge will move when I put gas in it, but it is not registering correctly. I haven't pulled the leads yet, just put gas in.

So if it moves and reads wrong, what does this indicate? The sending unit?

A lot of the problems are caused by the dash electrical connector unfortunately, located behind speedo /dash assmbly. usually the tabs on the connector get weak or break, and it shifts. disassemble dash and check condition of connector. and tabs on speedo cluster mylar/ copper routing. if loose, that is bad. clean with muratic acid on swab and re-attach with contact cement. Hope you don't have digital dash. caspers is about your only solution, if it is digital.
several vendors sell the outer ring for steering wheel horn assembly.

    Not a digital dash, thankfully.

Pulled the connection to the sending unit at the tank, cleaned them and cleaned the ground, and gauge moved to full, which may be accurate, because we just filled it.
Tried to ground the tan wire to see what it would do, and gauge pegged out on full side. Plugged back in to regular connecter and went back to full. Maybe it will work now? Time will tell.

Pulled the speedo cable from tranny, and tried to get it to work. If I pushed on the cable when turning, the speedo would move. But it wouldn't work when put back in. Pulled the cable out and found out it is broken at the speedometer itself. Guess when I pushed it in, it was turning the broken piece too.
