Hello everyone. Have a 65 Skylark. Recently the dash light are on with the engine running and light switch off. Just installed a new light switch. Same results. Did also try another ignition switch that is a used one. Maybe 2 bad ignition switches?? Any help on what to check next would be appreciated. Thanks John
I'm super late but I had a issue like that mine was the ignition switch. You can buy new ones fairly cheap.
You hsve to look at the wiring diagram. Where do the instrument lights get thier power from? What part tells the lights to light up?
Hey guys. Finally got it sorted out. There was a connection bridging in the fuse block. Just guessing that age and vibrations over the years caused it. Thanks so much for the replies. John
