We put a new headlight witch in my buddies 72 Skylark GS. With the old switch he had no dome light but the dash lights worked. Now he has a dome light but no dash lights. He has head and tail lights, any suggestions?

If you go to the lower right hand corner of the wiring diagram you will find the headlight switch. You can see that there are several different ground wires for the lighting circuits. I'll bet you guys hooked up one ground but not the other.

Between the steel frame of the switch & the steel dash is a large round washer used for grounding. The ground conductor attaches with a spade connector.
Make sure you have the washer in place with good contact & the wire is still attached.

Thanks for the replies, I called my friend with the GS and he said he didn't put the washer back in.:Dou:
