looking for a DL Claborn dealer badge for my 72 GS. He was a dealer out of Atlanta Georgia. Car had the badge when I first saw it but was gone when I bought it. They were diecast and plated.

Would even be more than gratefull if someone has one I can borrow. I found a place that will make copies for a reasonable amount. In exchange for the use as a pattern I would return your original plus give you a new one.

    Thanks,

    Warren

    Hey Warren,
I worked at DL from 1978-1981 and would be interested in pics of your car.
Someday I would like to find one to restore myself that came from there.....:3gears:

    Go Rusty!!

You have a real treasure there!!!!! A GSX from DL!!!!!!!
That's just too cool. DL was the Buick dealer in Atlanta (East Point) where I grew up.

The building is still there, but.........
    You're the bomb!!!!

The owner of the used car lot where I bought my car way back in 85 is still around and actually found the badge for the rear of my car. I also have a plate that was on the front when I bought it. both will be going back on the car when its finished. I am still kicking around having a new badge made since mine is pretty pitted. May look into having a new copy of the front plate made also.

Pics soon for those that are interested.

My dad worked for several Buick Dealerships in Atlanta. He Started out at Tom Mitchell Buick and Rambler in Buckhead. He then worked at Hix Green Down town Atlanta with his brother JC Richardson. Then he worked at DL Claborn. His name was Dave Richardson. I was wondering if you knew him. I worked at DL in 1970 -1972 and knew a Jerry Wilson that worked in the Body Shop under Royce Tyree. Are you the same Jerry Wilson?

I worked in the Parts Dept during 1978-'81, but I did know Royce and at one point, did nothing but supply the body shop with the parts they needed.....was your dad a service writer?

I used to have a D.L. Claborn plate on my 64 Skylark vert. I still remember the jingle..."Wouldn't you rather have a D.L., D.L.Claborn, Claborn Buick?"

    Guys

Trying to find a badge for my car. Unfortunately it was not from DL. I found the build sheet and the car came from Harry Cole Buick in Corona CA. Car was built in the Fremont Ca plant. I've done some checking but it seems like the dealership is no longer there. If anyone remembers the dealer and might have a badge I would greatly appreciate it.

    Thanks
    Leo

P.S. Rusty I received my N25 back from Tri City Plating and it looks awesome!
