I won't bash bikes, just wish they would ride them with a little more concern. I know we don't always do that with our cars, but I really don't have a problem ramming a car like I would running over a biker with the F250.

Case in point, last time I towed the Ramrod back from Casey's house, a biker flew past me on the right shoulder from an on-ramp on US 23, pulled in front of me, got off it, and looked right back to see if his 2 buddies were also going to do same since he made a hole for them. Since I was doing 65 and gaining on him quickly, I whipped the truck and trailer (with car on it) into the left lane and just missed him. He couldn't have been more than 15 feet in front of me at the time. Fortunately the left lane was empty at the time and the trailer didn't come around on the rebound. His buddies laid back, then passed after they let me get back in the RH lane. They waved thanks, but he sped off like the idiot future organ donor candidate that he should be, (as long as it's not a brain donor.

I don't think a car or truck would (or could) have done that, but if it had, I would have hit the horn and the brakes, and not swerved. Little different when you'e looking at someone on a bike over the hood and gaining fast.

Not just crazy bike riding, I also hate bicyclists, snowmobilers, and joggers who rely upon others missing them when they should be more aware of who would really get hurt. Next door neighbor's best friend died in his arms about 3 miles from here last year after the throttle stuck wide open on his chopper and hit an oncoming car headon. There's a little cross there now, kids are wards of the state. Driver of the car about had a heart attack, but unhurt. Neighbor was a basketcase as he was beside him and witnessed it all from his bike.

    Not a crotch rocket story...but

A coworker and friend of mine who is a true "biker" from long before a Harley became a status symbol told me once

"There are two types of riders, those that have crashed and those that will."

He had a few close calls and fairly recently had someone turn in front. Over the car he went. Fortunately he knew how to tuck and roll coming out with only a broke foot and a mild heart attack from the stress.

When I asked him once why a biker formerly in a gang had no tattoo's he said "That is the easiest way to be identified if you are in the wrong place at the wrong time."

I WOULD HOP RIGHT BACK ON A BIKE IF I COULD! IN A HEARTBEAT! ,
I have snuck in a ride or two since my Accident and I always have that "JONES" to ride!! It was not the Bike that killed anyone, It was the driver!
    I LOVE MOTORCYCLES!

I don't have a problem with bikes. However, there isn't one of us here who hasn't had one of these bikes blow by us on the highway, darting in and out of traffic between cars by some idiot (who's not wearing a helmet).
Most drivers aren't even able to see these guys coming from behind.
When these same idiot riders get killed because a driver happens to change lanes in the midst of one their hairball moves we as drivers are reminded that we must be extras cautious and to be on the lookout for motorcycles.
Riders (not all mind you) always give the "people don't pay attention" excuse. I don't care how long a person has been riding there is not one on the street who has the reflexes to react to the possible scenarios that may arise at such high speeds on these types of bikes. Too much bike for most.
