    skitzofrenic66 What's an Import?

im really into fabricating my own stuff and customizing things to suie my tastes and i had an idea about my old bench seat. i would love nothing more than to rip that old thing out and replace it with buckets but from what i thought? AHH! luxury seats. now im thinking cadilac or lincoln buckets but reapulstered to give them a classic look. its just a thought for now but what do you guys think? the seats are designed for vinyl/leather interior and they are all power, wouldnt it be awesome to have a pair? :Do No:

Insane Buick maybe in another decade

    i like it!

i'm into the same things, with simalar ideas...i love seeing some of these show cars with newer style interiors meshed together to give a completly unique look!

i would think the hardest thing to do with the newer seats would be bolting them down and getting them to fit just right to give it an almost factor type look.

i would get them all redone in black leather and get the back seat redone to match it or maybe try to find a newer car with a rear seat with about the same deminsions as the one in there and bolting it in too...but thats just a thought :Brow:

i say go for it...once i get money then i will be throwing pics of my progress up on here and i think you should do the same...no matter the results, we can only learn through doing...

    good luck

a good seat to use is from a late 80s to mid 90s chrysler new yorker or dodge dynasty.
all of the switches are built into the seat so all you need to do is feed power to one wire and ground the other wire. most only have 1 dodge logo, and it can be easily disguised.
some are real nice leather. some have pouches made into the front, sides and/or in the seat back.
    they are nice looking seats.
i bought a pair of dark gray leather ones in super shape for 25 bux for my 67 grand prix. both were full power.

if you buy some ...make sure and get the plastic trim panels that go around the bottom.
