Just tried to fit my CSR platinum starter pn114 on my 455 with Hooker headers and it looks like it wont bolt up unless you just about flatten one of the header tubes.anyone else run into this?If I do bend in the tube ,its not going to have any clearance between the end of the starter,and the tube.
You are right i did install that starter with my hooker headers and heated and beat them as the headers were crap.That starter wouldn't fit my 2"Ta headers either no beating those one's they were nice.So i borrowed a high torque stock one from standup 69 (thanks again).Now with the stg2 heads and 2" headers the csr starter fits fine and works great.
