After the holidays I am highly considering purchasing a new 350 for my 71 GS. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to get from. Also, anyone know how much cash i should be ready to fork over for a nicley built 350 in the 320 horsepower range?? Thanks guys ,Pete
Thanks I will call them ,heard nothing but good things about them. I would rather have someone just rebuild it locally but dont trust the machine shops around here with a Buick.
I am located in Westchester county NY. Ive asked a few b-o-p guys around here if they know a good machine shop, but no leads.
Buickman, What is your first name? If you haven't joined the BPG and the N.E. GS/GN club, you really should. John Csordas is the director(NCsord4@aol.com) and alot of members are up your way. The club website is www.ne-gsca.com I am sure John could suggest a machine shop for you as well as member Rob Chilenski. Rob really knows Buicks( He has a 9 sec racecar and an 11 sec street car) and his business(Stage 1 Automotive) specializes in Buick high performance. He is located in Pompton Plains N.J. and his # is 973-839-4900 Good Luck.
Buickman, There is a Sportwagon for sale on this forum with a nice rebuilt 350 motor in it. Sounds like the body is gone in the 1/4's. I could use the rear and some interior pieces. You interested in the motor? Owner says it has some TA parts and only 600 miles. Car is in Pa, I am in Kingston NY. PM me if interested. Mark
I do have a couple of guys here on the east coast who could do this relatively quickly if you are interested. Mike T
