    Brad,

Thanks for the quick reply! I'm interested in knowing what the trim option is. I'm not sure if some of the stuff on the car was original or added. There was some monkeying done on it but nothing major.

    Adam,

The "trim code" is the color and style of the interior, not really any options. I cannot find my '71 Color & Trim book, but unless Buick made a one year change for the heck of it, I'm pretty sure your car should have a blue vinyl notchback interior. The reason I say this is that for years on either side of your car (1970 and 1972 for which I do have my hands on a Color & Trim album) the last digit of "1" signifies a blue interior all across the board, all model lines in other words. Skylarks to Riv's. Convertibles were only available with vinyl interiors and since all convert's are 2drs, and Centurions are a "step up" from LeSabre's, it should have the center folding armrest in the front seat, ie: vinyl notchback interior.

So, what's in it now? Can't really see from the pic.

    Off to re-locate my '71 Color & Trim....:Dou:

Here's a half-ass shot of the interior...best as I could get w/o going to take another shot. This is before I cleaned it up today. Looks a TON better than in this shot.

It has blue vinyl with white sections....the previous owner has the upholstry redone in this fashion...I don't know if it was original or not. I've never see that combo before, though. There is also the center armrest in the front seat.

    Adam,

As you know, the seats have been re-done at some point in the past. The white areas are not correct for the car. I cannot tell if the blue areas of the seats are correct...they should match the door panels in color and style of vinyl.

Sounds good Brad...I kinda figured it'd be like that. THe blue matches pretty well with the rest of the interior. A little faded from the Nevada sun, but worthy. I've also discovered some other things about the options on this car. It's absolutely loaded with them. Aside from the TRASHED top and top frame, I'm very happy with the purchase. I'll jsut have to spend 8 weeks trying to rework the monkeyed up wiring under the hood, dash, and trunk. It's still a mess, but I like it:grin:

    Thanks again for your help!:TU:
