Dear Walt and V-8 Buick bargain hunters,

Okay, I finally hunted down the flyer where the sale is listed. It turned to be a sale that only starts on December first. They are in the flyer for December but aren't listed on the Costco website at the moment. The Costco item number is: 689518. The regular price is $27.99 and they are on sale for $19.99. That's 8 dollars or almost a 29% discount - quite a deal.

This sale is for Costco members only, but if you need enough of them, you can probably pay for the membership just on the light purchase alone! They are available at Costco online, so you don't need to visit a warehouse to buy them.

    Cheers, Edouard

Dear Roy, 65GS76limited, 69 GS 400, and V-8 Buick fans who want to be charged,

I got an email from UPS telling me that I have a package coming from Deltran which is a manufacturer of the Battery Tenders. So that means the Costco online orders are actually being fulfilled by the manufacturer. That makes it clear that is promotion was so successful that Deltran didn't have enough on hand to meet demand. Still, I would expect the manufacturer will fulfill its obligations sooner or later. So hang in there guys. If you are patient, eventually you will get a battery charger. Of course, if you are impatient and can pick one up at your local Costco, that might be a the fastest way to get one. You can cancel your online order if you want.

    Cheers, Edouard

Dear V-8 Buick fans who want to be charged,

UPS came through with my charger today. Here is what it looks like:

It is using the same housing as the 1-1/2 amp Battery Tender charger. It is an high-efficiency design so it can be sold in California. As I reported earlier, it was shipped to me directly from the manufacturer, so I hope those of you still waiting for a charger will get one eventually. However, there is something of a surprise on the Costco website. If you click on the link in my first post, you'll get a message that "This product is out of stock and cannot be added to your cart at this time." So if anybody didn't order one and still wants one, you'd better check your local Costco, because that's the only option left.

    Cheers, Edouard
