   I'd clean those brackets as best you can and leave them and use that weathered pulley.
   
   Or clean and paint the original. Mine was still pretty shiny and I didn't bother with any paint.
   
   I feel like that pulley doesn't get as beat up as the others, thereby remaining shiny.

   I would hit the bracket with a little 0000 steel wool in parts washer and spray it with boeshield t-9. Rub it around and call it good. I would blast the original pulley and paint it.
