My son just called me and told me he found some coolant below the car. He traced the leak to right above the drivers side header. I'll look at it when I get home, but it doesn't sound good. I told him to check and see if any water was on the dipstick and he waid there was none.

Anything in particular I need to look for, or look at. Doesn't sound good.:(

    Mark,

Take a good look at the intake. I would bet that is your problem.

    How much fun was Noble?

It was great, wish you could have been there to whip some Ford tail.

Did you do any firefighting out in San Diego, sounds like they need all the help they can get.

I'll check the intake when I get home. Hopefully that's all it is.

    Mark,
I had a small leak from the rear of my passenger side head. It would only drip when cold for a minute or so. When the engine warmed a little, it would stop. I threw in a little stop leak in the radiator, and retorqed all my head bolts. That was a year ago. Never leaked again. Hope it is something simple.

It could also be a freeze plug.:jd:

It is one of the things both you guys just mentioned. When I got home, I couldn't fine a leak. My son had driven it earlier in the day, and he is the one that saw it, but couldn't find it.

It could easily be a small leak in one of the heads that leaks when cold like you mentioned, or.........

Freeze plug. Couple of years ago, a freeze plug got pushed out. I replaced it with one of those replacement freeze plugs that you screw in, with a rubber grommet. Looks like a small trail running out below that plug. Wasn't wet when I saw it, but a there was a visible trail of discoloration at that plug. That is probably it. I'll find it.

    Thanks for the input.

I guess it could also be the head gasket

Or a slight crack in the head. Let's hope it is the freeze plug!:TU:

I'd try a high quality stop leak first.

I'm gonna put some stop leak in there and swee what happens. That stuff works pretty well for just small stuff. My fingers are still crossed. Hopefully nothing major.:gt:
