That car is WAY too nice to part out. I'm sure someone on a Pontiac board would buy it. And I think there is definately a market for 71/72 GPs.
I parted out a GP last year. You'll get $600 for the engine alone. Good luck with it. But it does seem pretty nice to just part out.
Mark, You can use the PW set-up...but the master pw switch in the driver's door panel will not work in your GTO....you need to convert from the square master PW switch and socket to the rectangular version. You can sell the engine, trans, trans x-mbr, disc brakes, rear, trailing arms, p.trunk, etc....visit www.performanceyears.com and post on their forum. Buckets will also work in your car or easy resale. If it is p.bucket, get the floor mounting brackets too.
AMX huh? Nice. If you get a chance, try and hit one of the Belton cruises. They have them once a month, they're pretty slick. Also I there are some decent ones held at the Bass Pro in Independence on a monthly basis too. Let me know if you do, I'll introduce myself.
Mark, Should you part-it can you have a look at the bottom of the AC housing on the firewall? The rubber condensate drain & retainer is something I could use. Almost directly above the RH frame rail. Cars like that just plain don't exist this neck of the woods. Road salt has a nasty habit of consuming everything.
