Does anyone have a exploded view of the top mech for the 68-72 skylark. I'm apparently missing some hardware and need to identify what it is in order to find the parts:af:

Not sure if you found your part yet or not. but OPGI might have what you are looking for.

I just got my 72 convert out last night and noticed that one of the bows was missing some hardware, hence how I stumbled on this thread. I happened to find a nut and bolt under the seat, but think I'm missing a bushing or two. OPGI and Year One seem to have sets of hardware for Chevelles, but not much for Skylarks. I wonder how much difference ther is?

All of the parts for the top frame should be the same. All of those small parts including the serrated bushing are available from Ames + others. Some of the bushings are available in different materials than original. What happens when you move that adjustment in the pic? How does that affect the top?

From what if read moving the slip joint down raises the side bow position and vice versa. I've yet to make these adjustments as I'm still locating the hardware. I'd rather get original parts than the re-Pops that are way overpriced and I have heard are not all that great.

Ron- if you need a set let me know I might have a line on some extras
