Convertible top back curtain?

    Winter is coming and I have found another project. :)
    A few years back I replaced the top on my 69 GS. I thought the back curtain looked okay to reuse and the glass was good. Now I have noticed that the curtain is pulling and tearing from the inside at the rear frame where the tack strip is. I want to replace just the rear curtain and reuse my current rear window. I have found new curtain and window assemblies but they come with either glass or plastic windows installed in them.
    So I have two questions;
    Can anyone tell me if and where I can buy just the back curtain without any window?
    Or can I buy a curtain with a plastic window and install my glass one? :idea2:
    There is a huge difference in price between a curtain w/plastic window vs. one with glass.

    I broke the back glass on my 71 Skylark convertible a few years ago (another story:Dou: ) and ordered the replacement from the same manufacturer with the clear plastic rear panel. The plastic went all the way down to the rear bow, and the vinyl for the surround was different dimensions also. Our chapter just happened to be having its meeting only a few blocks away very soon, so I brought it up in person. The company took it in the back and checked it, came back and said it was to spec. I don't see how the exterior material dimensions could be as different as they were. Talking about about 8 inches at least!
    All that aside, I don't think you will be able to get the glass to fit because it doesn't have the material at the bottom to attach it, and the type of adhesive probably isn't consumer friendly or available. Not certain as to where you got your top, but this POS was a "KEE" top from Year One, back when you could still get them in colors other than black or white.
    Since then I've gone to ELECTRON TOP, and will NEVER get another KEE top. Even if it means not having a top to put up. 'Nuf said...

    Thanks Steve. That info helps. I guess I'll just have to get the curtain with the glass. I will check out Electron.
