Console Lid

Discussion in 'Parts wanted' started by Buick1moretime, Feb 11, 2005.

  1. I've had the opportunity to purchase a '67 Riviera that all in all is in very good shape. It is a California car so it is rust free but does suffer from some dried rubber etc. Typical things inside like door panels and carpeting should be replaced but most of all the console lid on has the end broken off. I would like to replace itand would appreciate any help locating a part. Also the wood pieces on the entire console need replaced. Does anyone reproduce the wood trim? Thanks in advance for your help.

A good place to start looking for the wood trim would be Year One. There also has been some consoles I believe like what you have, for sale on Ebay and are going for a decent price, so you might be able to pick one up for parts off of there for your console.

Are you talking about the console lid for auto on the floor? Thanks Gil Buickgil@aol.com

    That is correct.

  5. The lid I am looking for is the rear lid that has the lock in it. Yes it is for the auto on the floor. I remember some company offering blank wood for repair of the wood covering but can not recall who it was. I have looked in my Year one book but it only covers the Skylarks etc. Does Year one have a book that covers Riviera parts as well? There sure seems to be a lot of interest in Riviera's. Hope someone will offer some help for them as well.

I am not an avid researcher in Riv's, but I am sure someone else can help you further on your search. You should look on this site under the boatails forum and ask this question, and you will most likely have better luck.
