I think Paragon has out of business for 10 or more years now.

I've been buying most of my ammo form SGA.

I hear the price of Ammo is coming back down. Since this pandemic started. If we only knew what was coming . Millions out of Work.

You basically need to be ready for just about anything. Sorry to say I think it will all get worse before it gets better.
On a positive note Jenn got her unrestricted concealed carry permit ;).

You may be correct. Paragon Arms is still in business but may be a different company than what you guys were referring to.

Recently acquired a G48 as a next step up from my 43 (which I love). Shield tactical makes 15 round mags for the 48 so it remains very thin but carries the same round count as a g19. Haven't carried it yet as I haven't got to shoot it and put it through it's paces, but I'm pretty happy with the initial impression of the form factor.

This is not a concealed carry piece per-say, but I'm pretty excited about this one. It's Remington model 11 chopped to 12.5". YES, it IS legal as I've acquired a tax stamp for it. So history buffs will recognize this gun. Not only were they purchased for military use during WWII, but prior to that they gained notority (and infamy) as a favorite of the likes of Bonny Parker, Clyde Barrow, and John Dillinger. While I most definitely don't condone their heinous acts, I will admit to having a (albeit maybe considered morbid by some) fascination with their stories. Hence (only partially, I swear) buying a pre-war model 11.

This thing was solid but highly worn when I got it. It is match marked with all numbers matching, just as it was built in 1914. Worn and showing its life as a working gun on the outside, but solid bones. So I cut and redid the bead sight, but Taulb worked some magic on the outside stripping and refinishing all the wood and exterior metal. I'm super happy with how it turned out. A handsome historical piece that still shows it's seen some things in it's 106 years, I'm really enjoy it's addition to my collection.

.22lr is the way to go these days for practice shooting. Even tho ammo has doubled in price from 4cents a round to 8 cents a round, it sure beats the 60 cents+ a round cost for friggin 9mm!
I bought my first AR-15, just a basic M&P Sport II, back in Dec and added a CMMG .22lr conversion kit. Nice to have a dual duty rifle.
I still prefer shooting pistols to rifles, maybe because it's more of a challenge.....

And for super-budget-shooting-from-the-deck-after-a-few beers, I picked up a Beeman .177 pellet pistol from Amazon when they were blowing them out for $8! It's beer-can accurate from 80 ft (with a rest), and I'm usually hitting a beer can from 10 yds with a 2 handed stance.
Even at the regular price of $33 this this is well worth it:

The country was a prison to begin with. Makes sense they would have restrictive gun laws.

My personal lawyer is a partner and handles many of the cases involving firearms in Michigan. Even if it's a lawful shoot, you better plan on having at least 10k laying around to pay the lawyers. If there is Any suspicion of wrongdoing you better have a Lot more to cover criminal charges.

It's not paranoia, its a fact. Even in states that have a Castle Doctrine (Michigan calls it the SDA Self Defense Act), you can and most likely will be sued in civil court on top of any possible criminal charges. A popular misconception about the Castle Doctrine is that it will immune you from civil liability, and that is simply not true. Castle Doctrines afford you an "affirmative defense" for when you are sued. You still have to pay legal fees, court costs, etc...to apply the affirmative defense of the Castle Doctrine in court. Also, the Castle Doctrine goes out the window if you are in the commission of a crime. If you are doing something illegal at the time of the shooting you can kiss that protection goodbye.

"Officer, I'm willing to cooperate with your investigation, but I will not make any statements without my attorney present." Then ZIP it.

You may go to jail for the night. Talk to no one. Don't bother carrying around your attorney's card in your wallet, or assuming you'll be able to use the number you programed in your phone. You won't have either. Make damn sure you have a close reliable contact to call, and have them contact your lawyer for you. <--- Set all this up in advance. The call should go something like this: Hello ____, there has been an incident involving ____ and a firearm. ____ is being held at the local police department and is in need of your services.

I think its time for glasses, I found a website that had some ammo that I was looking for so I ordered 500 rounds of 357 magnum.. They arrived last week and as I opened one of the boxes I kknew something was wrong. once I got my son to read the description on the box it turns out I bought 327 federal Magnum not 357...... lol. I had never heard of this load before but after doing some research on it I think its a pretty bad ass concealed carry load. Now I need to try and find a gun to shoot these thing. Any idea where a guy can buy a Ruger SP101 that shoots 327's ?

These Rock Island compact 1911s are curiously addicting to carry. Bought a Dreadnaught in the waistband holster and it is very comfortable.
