Here's what I know about it. It runs. The carburetor is a bit iffy but other than that it runs OK. Oil pressure is 46psi cold, 18psi hot idle, and 38 psi@2,000rpm hot. Compression check revealed 120-125 across the board. There is a little lifter noise and an exhaust manifold gasket leak.

I don't know how many miles are on it or exactly what it came out of. I bought a `71 Skylark chassis because I needed the frame and this engine was in the chassis. I believe it's a `72 because it has 72 cast on the heads and it has an EGR valve. It's a 2bbl. I have a `72 Olds 350 Quadrajet I'll throw in with it, all you would need is a 4bbl. intake.

It is complete. Everything you see in the photos goes with it. Acessories, pulleys, brackets, starter, manifolds, etc. The alternator appears to be either new or remanufactured. I am keeping the transmission but the flexplate goes with the engine. $350 for everything.

I am in northwest Florida about 40 miles east of Pensacola if interested and can pick it up here. However, I am going to southern Wisconsin in 3 weeks and could bring it along if someone up in that area needs it and could pick it up there. Or, I could drop it off on the way of it isn't too far off my path.

I'm pulling this engine this morning and discovered a pretty good sized dent in the oil pan. Not really a big deal to fix, it could probably use a pan gasket anyway. I just thought it was worth mentioning. The good news is I got the exhaust pipe bolts out without breaking any off in the manifolds :)

No, sorry. My route will be north through Montgomery, Birmingham, and Nashville. After that I could either go through Indianapolis and Chicago, or Paducah, KY and Bloomington, IL.
