I was putting the clutch safety switch on the pedal assembly today and noticed that someone in the past had broken the mounting stud off. I suppose that is why it was in a box. It is too bad I did not notice that before I spent time detailing it but that is all in the resto game. I cannot seem to locate the GM number although I was sure It should be Group 4.054. For some reason I do not find it there. How about an assist? Does anyone perhaps have one they are interested in parting with?
Jim, I've got a couple of them with the number "485" stamped on the actuating lever behind the pin. Is this what you are looking for? Brian
Yes it is a two spade terminal switch mounted to a lever with a roller at the end. It has two pieces . One is an oval that circles the lever roller. I now understand it is GM # 1993485 and was the same for convetional trans from 69-72. See Scott Miller's pic's of one here http://www.v8buick.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=41459
