Getting ready to take this apart and blast it. I assume it's supposed to be square/straight and bottom out on the rubber stopper? I guess I should straighten/weld that before I blast and paint etc. Thanks
Yep, bent for sure. After you blast it, tig up the hole and re drill it. Use a letter drill bit "X". It's approx .400. Thr upper clutch rod is probably hammered too. You'll have to hand file fit them. Make sure you put some weld on the pedal.
I've had two of the few '70 four speed cars, and ruined two of those pedals. Those spot welds were a laughable solution.
