ok, i bet theres a post on something like this, but i never seem to have the time to check, haha.

will a cluch petal assembly from fullsize buick '64 - '65 wildcat work in my currently automatic 65 skylark midsize? i have a T- 10 out of a '65 GS i would like to use, instead of the turbo 400 i have now.

    any info is appreciated!

Nope. The Wildcat pedals are completely different than the Skylark/GS.
A pedal assembly from a 65-66 Skylark, LeMans/GTO, Chevelle, Cutlass is the same as the 65 GS. 64 and 67 pedals are slightly different, but should work.
65-66 GS linkage is different than anything else and is extremely difficult to find! A hydraulic throwout bearing is an easier solution. Ted Nagel went that route in his Wildcat. :TU:

way cool, thanks for the info. when you say the linkage, you mean for the shifter, right? i think the 4 speed i have has the factory shifter & all linkages attached! that just made my day!

    thanks again!

Well, I meant the clutch pedal linkage.....everything between the pedals and bellhousing, usually called a z-bar. It's more complicated on the 65-66 Sky GS. There is a z-bar bracket welded to the frame, then another bracket bolted to the frame below that. Buick had to do that to get around the starter that is on the drivers side of the block. The Wildcat setup is different.
The shifter for the Wildcat may or may not fit. I do know the Sky GS had its own tailhousing and shifter. I don't know how it differs from the Wildcat.
I only have Skylark GS's here, but Ted has Skylark and Wildcats. He would know.:TU:

actually, the 4 speed i have is a T10 from a 65 GS that my dad parted out ages ago. the car had dual quads, too, but he sold the complete 401 for $100, :( because he figured he would never have another buick, but he kept the trans because he figured id be BOP compatible. that was in the mid 80s, and now we have my skylark in the gradge. :) im gonna have to go dig it up from our basement and check to see if it has the z-bar. thanks again for the help

    I should add....
The 65-66 Skylark GS used the 401 Nailhead engine. The bellhousing and clutch pedal linkage is unique for that engine/body combination. Those parts are difficult to find.
    BUT!
You could install that 4 speed trans fairly easily behind your present 300.
You would need a 300 or 350 flywheel,
    a bellhousing from a 64-up V6 or V8 BOP,
Pedals from a 64-66 A-body, and clutch pedal linkage from a V6 or small V8.
I did the swap on my 66 Special with the 300 V8. Transformed the car into something that was lots o:3gears: ' fun to drive!
