Original tank from a 70 skylark. Deteriorating / chalking at rear outboard corner, but tank and lid are still pretty nice. $10 plus shipping? -- Steve
Fred- the clear top is incorrect for your car. You need the black top. No GSX was an 'early' 1970 car- they were half year models. I only mention because you'll get the wrong one if you get this one, and possibly keep somebody from getting the correct one for their early '70 who may need it.
Fred -- For you, black top overflow tank w/clear body, discolored but should clean up well enough, nothing broken, $0 plus shipping, maybe $7 to $10 total? If that sounds good to you, we all win -- I get my $10 plus I get rid of a piece I've been to lazy to do anything about, you get what you need cheap, part, and grannys70skylrk get's his cheap too. -- Steve
Thanks, I'll take it. PM me with either paypal info, or I can send a check. God bless, Fred Chris, thanks for the info.By the way,I'm going down to pick up an early seventies 455 today. :TU:
Great news, Fred :TU: . My offer on the timing cover still stands, by the way, I have a good one here that I don't need- I bought a brand new high performance one last summer. I'll be going up to my shop tomorrow and I'll look for other parts that I don't need that may help. I have some bumpers, but they are '71 bumpers. I may have a rusted '70 front bumper, but unless no other bumper exists in the world, you don't want it on a car, it would be embarassing. You should ask folks to keep an eye out for a '70 GS grille- Skylark grille is different. Keep in touch
Bad news, Chris. The engine I went to pick up turned out to be a bust. I was told it was complete, but it turned out to be a rusty short block. IO suppose I could build the short block, but with brackes, covers, heads, intake, etc I think it might be impractical. Oh well. What was your offer for? I forgot. Thanks again and God bless.
Timing cover Keep looking, you'll get the 455 :TU: I can toss in a set of Stage 1 valves, too- brand new. My new heads already had them and I'm willing to simply donate them to the cause
