  3. The "Group Buy" for the 1967-68 Deluxe Steering wheel recasting is now officially "Open". Now is the time to start sending in the wheels. The latest date that the wheels must be received by Kochs is 31 March 2025 The cost for each wheel is $750. The only "up front cost" is your shipping the wheel. If you send in more than one wheel, each additional wheel will cost $700. Shipping and insurance to Kochs and return shipping will be extra. You will be contacted by Teresa to make payment for the wheel(s) and return shipping and insurance when your wheel(s) is complete.     This post is simply a heads up to let you guys know that Clear Top (Reproduction) Overflow Tanks are coming soon! I believe Retail is $169 (plus shipping)


    Once they're available I'll post more info!


    I realize this is not an official "For Sale" post so if the moderators feel the need to remove it or move it I understand. I just wanted to let you guys know as this is pretty good news for a much needed part!

    These should do well, especially if the font is correct.

    It'll be nice to put my NOS one on the shelf. Which is no longer NOS. :(

    Ray,

    I'm pretty sure Frank used the same mold for both the clear and black lids he reproduced way back when.

    That said, both lids had the instructions you see stamped on them located at the bottom of the lid or closer to the engine.

    OEM clear lids had them at the top of the lid or closer to the fender.

    The tank is, yes. It cleaned up nicely. The lid is an NOS one I got on eBay a couple years ago.

    Zoom in and you can see how well the lid and tank match in terms of color. These weren't bleached white (when new) like the ones available now.

    I'm hopeful the repros are close to spot on. It doesn't hurt to have an extra.
