Cleaning\Restifying Convertible Top

    Hi all-

What have you used to clean your convertible top with? I've just rescued one from a barn and years of dust has settled into a brown film over the black top. I'm thinking general purpose marine cleaner...(that pink stuff) and a scrubbrush. The top is in rather nice shape otherwise. Was recently new before storage...

Any better ideas or products for this?

What will bring the shine/gloss back?

    Thanks,

    Josh.

:Smarty: believe it or not, go to your local marine shop and look for a vynal cleaner suitable for boat tops. Those products work wonders because its safe for vynal and it will clean the harshest stuff out of it since marine stuff is ment for the worst conditions possible. As far as after its cleaned, look for something either at the marine shop, or use what I use on my vynal top (Lexol Vynal-x) its in a powder blue spray bottle and its available anywhere. Hope that helps...some other memebers may have better ideas :TU:

Larry, convertible top material and vinyl top material are not the same, or at least I don't think so. I see from your av and signature that you have a vinyl top not a convertible. You think these products are safe for both?
