Wow....nice paint job! Watch it not hit $250. These things are a bargain.

I bet you are right. There was another one that I watched go twice. The seller had a starting bid of $300, nobody bid on it.

All the paint makes ya wonder if it is aluminum or iron.

That one would have a cast iron case. If you notice it does not have the GM mount on the left side.

Good to know Brent. I am still waiting for mine to arrive. I love what you wrote about the "poor-man's Richmond 5-speed." When the time comes I plan on picking your brain a tad on how to do it.

    Thanx.

You were correct. Auction ended w/no bids.

Item relisted. I did a search on site and found some interesting info, wonder if there is a bellhousing to put one behind a nailhead?

Since two of the bolt holes are like Muncies, I bet it is totally doable.

So take a stock bell and modify one side? Maybe studs.

Check out the photo of this Chevy bellhousing. It is an ebay auciton that just ended. But it looks like it will fit a the GM833 and some other trans. But you can see how the left tranny bolts are diff.

Hey, where the heck is "frozen tundra?"

my friend had a chrysler a833 in his 427 nova.you have to cut about 3/4" off the input gear to make it fit,so it doesn't hit the end of the crank.he used a Lakewood bellhousing, chysler style cltch disc,& a gm style pressure plate.

Totally interesting. Was it red w/a Dana 60 rear?
