I had my 1974 Q-jet 850 carb rebuilt by John Osborne, have been very happy with the results, but have not been able to drive it yet. I am using an Edelbrock intake on my 455 and do not have any choke set up at all. John said not to use a choke, but it has been downright annoying trying to move the car around working on it with no choke at all. What are my options, I think the heads have the heat riser passages blocked, so a remote coil like the Chevy truck is out of the question. I see that Carbs unlimited has an external electric unit for $60 or so. Has anyone used these, or is there some better method? Thanks, winter is comming and it is getting harder to keep it running! Thanks, Kevin
What carb are you using? If Holley, and you carb still has a choke blade, Jegs or Summit Racing has elec. choke kits f/s.
Osborne carbs Can you give me some informatiton on John Osborne? Where is he, how much for a q-jet rebuild, etc.? Thanx all. I have been having carb woes with no ending.
