I had my 1974 Q-jet 850 carb rebuilt by John Osborne, have been very happy with the results, but have not been able to drive it yet. I am using an Edelbrock intake on my 455 and do not have any choke set up at all. John said not to use a choke, but it has been downright annoying trying to move the car around working on it with no choke at all. What are my options, I think the heads have the heat riser passages blocked, so a remote coil like the Chevy truck is out of the question. I see that Carbs unlimited has an external electric unit for $60 or so. Has anyone used these, or is there some better method? Thanks, winter is comming and it is getting harder to keep it running!:(
    Thanks,
    Kevin

What carb are you using? If Holley, and you carb still has a choke blade, Jegs or Summit Racing has elec. choke kits f/s.
