If you're talking head porting then that's definitely a good investment. If you go with TA shorty headers then you won't have any trouble fitting them in there. I guess you could do it in a day if you stay real committed. I had to re-drill a couple times and I was doing the job alone for the most part. It took me a while. Good luck.
ok cant you like put the mounts in place and use some sort of paint in the holes then would it be smart to drill that hole a bit bigger then normalso you would have a bit of leeway to work with when dropping the bolts.
That's what I did. Then I threaded the bolts in real loose so I could wiggle the motor on to the mounts. After everything was sitting comfortably I tightened the bolts down.
Here's a link on the methods: http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?t=57077&highlight=center ...and the head porting is the best investment you'll get on your Buick engine :TU:
V6 to V8 I put a sbb 350 in a 82 Regal after the V6 turbo went south. Nice bolt up, new radiator and fan shroud and few other parts. Used a a 3.42 rear but changing back to 3.08, wheels always spinning and to drop the RPM down at 60 mph. Does low to mid 13's in 1/4. Diver
