Almost about to snow any day now, got in one last Saturday night with the Wagon.

This was actually my second kill for the Day, I beat down a WRX with my Grand National earlier in the day.

A Buddy of mine I had not seen in years Suprised me with a vist last night. He live in a small town about 4 hours from Fairbanks. I stoped by at about dinner time and asks if I want to got out to dinner with Him and his 22 year old Son.
I look at my wife as she is setting the table since she just cooked dinner, she says sure you can go I dont care. Yeah, thats what I'm Talkin bout! Got the Hall pass! lets roll boys:3gears:

Now, I have not seen this guy in 10 years and He does not know a thing about my cars other than I have always been into cars.

So as we are walking out the door to leave I say, hey you want to take my station wagon? He says ok sure. It is dark out and the car is on the side of the house were you can only see the back. This Hides the 455 call outs and the GS hood.

So we jump in and I crank her up, rumm, he says wow you got some pipes on this thing? I say oh yea, I put some pipes on this ole wagon :Brow: .

So we roll into town real nice and easy ( he aint got a clue what is under the hood). We go eat dinner and then head home.

On the way home I see this Misubishi 3000 GT turbo getting it on with a cobra. So I whip a u turn and catch up to them. I still have not nailed the car all night long, my Buddie stil does not even Have a clue about the 600 horses under the hood at this point.

I get up along side of the Ricer and they are eyeballing us, Ricer has the normal big tac and shift light going on.

We hit the next stop light just perfect lined up with the ricer. Ricer are giving me the lets race look with motor rapped up and ready.
My Buddie is looking over at me puzzeled  , he says you aint gonna race thows guys with this old wagon are you? He says that is a fast sports car they have thier!

I hit the switch pitch, get some RPM's up, sink down in me seat, look over at him and say: Sheeeeeeii@#$@#$#$................., :bglasses: Buddy watch this!
Right then, Bang light turns green, Ricer is on it, I pull on him right away! About half way through the intersection I really lay into it as I did not want to blow the tires off at first, 5700 rpms the shift light goes red, Bam second gear! I look over at Dennis :jd: :eek2: ( he has my same name) he is laughing is a@#$# off with disbelief at how bad this wagon is, at the is point we are really leaving some rice behind, bam 3rd and it is way over!

The ricers roll up giving the ole thubs up :TU: They got a kick out the ole wagon...

Needless to say my Buddie and His son could not stop talking about the wagon the rest of the night. :beer

Very nice story, but VR4's aren't exactly rice, twin turbo 3.0L with AWD and 320 HP isn't exactly a civic with a wing.

    Rice

I thought anything that was maunfactured on the east side of the Pacific was considered Rice. Someone please clarify to me what Rice is? Does it have to be a certain type of car?

:Smarty: It looked like Rice, is sounded like Rice, smelt like rice, ran like rice and got its doors blown off like RICE! :3gears:

Rice is taking a stock 90 hp honda and putting stickers/rims/wings/body kits/etc on it with no performance mods.

Even if there were performance mods.. It would still be rice.

I guess we all have different perspectives of rice. Rice = all visual mods and no performands addons.

Back as far as I can remember Rice has been any vehicle made on the western edge of the Pacific, known as the far East. Since they all eat rice over there, the cars were called Rice. I remember a friend calling his 240Z a Rice burner even, way back in the early 80's.

    too much fun

Wagon man? How are you buddy, its Doctor in Florida. Where are all the cops Dennis? Too cold there I suppose. Put the bigger fuel lines in and it will go even better. I almost never get away with stuff like that, although the cop would take one look at the wagon and think "naw" and look for someone else. My stage 1 Park Avenue was like that, mid 13's with a 2.0 60' on white-wall michelins had alot of cars playing catch up and the cops looking for some race car. I am going to build another one that goes mid 12's with my 464c.i. stage 1 an overdrive trans and 4.10 gears. I found a flawless 83 Park Avenue with 38,000 miles from this lady. My next sleeper.

Doctor Mike! Bout time you got on the board.

Park Ave will be a sweet sleeper for sure. When you comming up to go fishing?

I may see you in Florida before that happens, maybe in Jan. when it is -50 here, that is a good time to leave Alaska.

Did I tell you I picked up a 69 4 dr. wildcat outa this guys yard. Driving by and I seen a big for sale sign on it, gave the guy 500 bucks and towed it home. Not sure when I will get to it but will be a fun sleeper project. :3gears:

    Later Bro!
