No famous quotes here Dave, I've never said headers suck. And the I did it my way was a poke at "I'll build the car the way I want not the way some rulebook says I have to" because the reality is even Demolition Derby has rules.
Yes you can. But in the USA Demolition derby circuit you cannot run a Chrysler Imperial or a station wagon, so don't gasket match your Vista Cruiser. Oh Damn, I mentioned an Olds......Que Dave H... :boring:
I'm pretty sure this is the first -- and hopefully last -- time I've appeared on the same list as Bill Clinton and Frank Sinatra. uzzled: I'm surprised you guys can't relate to the "My Way" thing. Must be you've been beaten into submission through years of marriage. o No:
Mid year Vette!....slowly I turn, step by step, inch by inch 66 1/2? With a lot of edge break?
    There actually was a big Custom Cruiser Demo Derby car on ebay the other day. I did my normal 455 Olds search and it popped up. Wanted it bad, but couldn't afford it on my fixed income pension. Maybe next year when Social security kicks in. :TU:    BG: Sorry about including you in with that cast of characters. Guess i owe you some humble apologies, too. ou:
i see all this certifying stuff, but why isnt this done??...: how many of these 12 second cars can sustain 65mph for an hour? i mean, they are pure stock, and these cars were driven when they first came out,not just put straight on the track.. o No: if youre going to be taken seriously as being pure stock, drive the sucker more than a 1/4 mile like rusty did. :TU:
No, thanks. Have been hit 4 times by idiots. Fortunately only one of those was in one of my old cars (65 442 conv, second time out of the garage after a full resto). I don't drive any of my cars on the street anymore (other than a casual blast around the local roads. Driving at 65 MPH for an hour is really great.....in my Escort ZX2, our Escape, or my F250 Power Stroke. All fully insured, and you really don't want to hit that F250, I'll win. :bglasses:
..dave,i was actually trying some humor, didnt work.. what about this? everybody go buy a distributor for their car at NAPA,and until you get to the track to run,it is kept in a safe in switzerland points are installed by casey
I have heard and read alot about P&G, certifying, bore scopes, vacum tests ect. It seems to me to be getting expensive for all the test equipment and time. I propose a simpler test, the Polygraph. Only one question "Are you cheating"
Yeah, but after cleaning out that washing machine, who could blame her for trying to keep on the fringe?
