Center floor console, how to remove?

    So previous owner swapped bench seat to what looks like Pontiac buckets....and added the U shifter floor console. How is this console attached? It wiggles, but I see no screws or bolts remove it!

    39955763-C843-4EA2-AA2A-2B56135B7A1B.png Remove the center plastic portion where the BUICK letters are in that center plastic piece. There is a screw under there that needs to be removed. Open the console lid and there may be other mounting screws inside the glove box/portion of the console.

    There should be 2 screws inside the console storage compartment . and 1 screw under the Buick insert. The chifter handle will have 4 screws under the chrome cclip on top of the shifter handle. Hope this helps.

    Does the Buick insert just snap in? What's the best way to remove it?

    There are actually two screws under the BUICK insert.

    Safest way I have found is to use a length of fishing line. Work it under the insert at the top so that you have some length on both sides. Then pull it towards the shifter until it stops. It will be up against the first clip. Pull straight up gently. Then do the same for the other clip towards the shifter.
