I saw an and for an old Buick convertible for sale and they called it a "Carson top". Does anyone have more information on specifically what that term means? Was it a specific brand of convertible top, or a style, or something else? Below is the ad:

    Thanks in advance.

    Hey,
I read the Wikipedia of the Carson top that you have posted in this post.Carson top is a one-piece, padded, and removable top.It is a removable, but non-folding padded soft top that is most often chopped a few inches. The original Carson Top was developed by Glen Houser of the Carson Top Shop in Los Angeles.

Rob started this thread in 2009, Craigslist removed the advertisement and also the photos.
(And the crosses in his post are white, not red....)

The person bringing this thread back to life is a spammer, don't you think it's a little bit strange to register to this board to make a first post like that :Do No: ?
There is a link to his/her business in his/her signature.
It looks like he/she was searching the internet for the word "carson", because it's also the name of the business in the link, and ended up with this thread.

His/her text about the Carson top is the same text you will find in Jim's Wikipedia link.
