Hello agian. I took the advice from those who helped me about putting on the 850, from the q-jet. Thank you for your help. Unfortunately, the 850 is screwed up too. There are huge vacuum leaks in the 2ndary throttle shaft, on both sides. The car ran better with the q-jet with the screwed up, bent, unresponsive, idle/air screw adjustment-thingy. I am dealing with some other financial requriements currently, I can't afford a brand new carbeurator. Anyone got some good advice for me? I am in So. CA, anyone know a good, inexpensive place to buy good, ready to run q-jets? If so, please include how much $$$ you might think I'd be spending.
    Thanx again.

if its only the secondary shaft thats leaking, then couldnt you bore out the holes for the shaft and insert bushings to stop the leak. or even easier, just find a used q jet and try out its throttle body, maybe it wont leak?

i've done lots of q-jets, street and strip, i live about 30 minutes from ontario. let me know. there is also a professional rebuilder in ontario called the carb shop, haven't checked on there status in about 10 years but i think they still do q-jets. good luck
