I got a 81 Buick regal with a 1978 chevy 350 in it. Now it was sitting for a while after i bought it and the owner i got it from could not get it started. So after i bought it i put fresh gas in it, a tune up with new wires plugs and cap and a oil change and it started right up. Now it will run fine on the freeway with no problems and even idle smooth after i first start it but once i start driving and i have to stop at stop lights it will cut off unless i keep tapping the gas gently to keep it from cutting off.. so what could b the problem. im thinking it might need a new few pump which i can easily install.. Or the carb might need to tinkered with... so what does everybody think the problem is? it runs good except for cutting off and it cuts off almost everytime at the light unless i give it gas..... o No:
Turn up the idle screw? Maybe after it warms up and the choke comes off its not adjusted up far enough? Just a thought?
