Well, it's not a car name, but the Kings of Nuthin do a tune called Nailhead...which is about a Buick and marital relations

Here's a flyer from my old band, circa 1989. Made when "cut, copy and paste" involved scissors, a Zerox machine and Scotch tape! LOL

You'll have to bear with some of the English car brands here, but...

There was a punk band called "The Cortinas" (after the Ford Cortina)

A "novelty" band called "Morris Minor and The Majors"

"The Lambrettas" were a mod band named after the scooter maker

Theres a band called "Beachbuggy" or "Dunebuggy" who have a CD out called "Sport Fury"

I don't know if psychobilly rock band "The Meteors" were named after the Canadian Ford division but you can only hope.

I'm sure there was a local band called "Bluesmobile" after that Dodge

I also recall a band called "The Chargers" and "The Mustangs" but nothing about either of them.

Erm that dodgy model/TV presenter Caprice put a record out once. It was as bad as you might imagine.

"Del Fuego" were almost certainly not named after the Renault Fuego. :)

There is (or was) a record label in London called "Edsel Recordings" who put out a lot of motown type stuff in the 80s.

Theres a band called "Galaxie 500" but I don't know anything else about them.

There was a one hit wonder boy band here in the 80s called "Blue Mercedes". They were awful.

I also have a feeling tat someone's backing group was "the Rivieras" (you know, like Charlie Cool and the Rivieras or something) and I'd also be amazed if nobodys had a band or backing group called "the Wildcats." Maybe Marty Wilde did, I'd need to look it up though.

I can think of loads of bands with cars on record covers and there must be loads of records named after cars too...

a bit ashamed to show this picture on this forum (people walking around on my ride) Back in 1985 we made a band (Mr. Review / skaband from The Netherlands) picture on my Riv.
