My buddy bought a 69 Mudstain from Canada and he lost the registration before it was officially put into his name. He was told that if you loose the registration in Canada your screwed and you can't get a duplicate???? This isn't possible is it?
Get him to contact the Motor Vehicle Branch in the Province he bought it in. Better yet in the same city/town. I think the vendor will have to officially apply for a new registration card. Once in hand he can sign off as Sold & send it to your buddy. No big deal, maybe $ 10-15. Does the vendor still have the plates? Shouldn't be too hard at all.

As Steve implied vehicle registration/ownership is a provincial matter. The laws in each province are not the same but similar.Go to the Dept. of Motor Vehicles in the province where same was registered-no big deal at all.Don't go to Transport Canada over this type of matter. Hope this helps. Rod
